The challenge
What was the problem?
The union needs to register people with disabilities across regions, many of them on weak connections and basic phones, with sensitive personal data that only the responsible staff member in each region may see.
The solution
How we solved it
We designed and built it end to end, from the database to the deploy: two fully isolated sign-ins (Google for citizens, credentials for staff) so a beneficiary session can never reach the admin area; region-scoped access enforced inside the database query, where revoking an account takes effect immediately; documents uploaded straight to private S3 storage through short-lived signed URLs; streaming Excel exports; and drafts that save themselves, compressed photos and large touch targets for people registering on a weak connection. It runs on Docker.
